To celebrate what would've been the 60th birthday of the late Michael Jackson, Giuseppe Zanotti and Michael's estate co-designed a shoe in his remembrance - The "Tribute"! Definitely not a surprise since Giuseppe previously designed all the shoes for Michael Jackson's "This Is It" tour.
Only 2,000 pairs of this limited shoe will be made, including one diamond-encrusted pair.
The Tribute sneaker completely embodies Michael Jackson's glitzy and over the top style. They'll be available in black, white and silver and feature Swarovski crystal-encrusted fasteners, the word "tribute" on the right sole and Michael's name engraved on the buckle! They'll retail for $1,295 and will be available mid-October online and at select Giuseppe Zanotti stores worldwide. Neiman Marcus will also be the sole department store to sell the shoe in the United States.
The "Number One" is identical to the Tribute sneaker except that it is handmade with 120 genuine black diamonds (108 karats) and 55 rubies (18 karats)! Estimated to be worth over 5 figures, bidding for the shoe started at $15,000. The "Number One" is projected to sell between $30-50,000 with all proceeds benefiting the Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation.
