Rolling Loud 2018
Rolling Loud was my first music festival and it didn't disappoint! Despite the weather, it still turned out to be a good vibe and a nice preset for future concerts.
What to expect? Well the food and liquor were definitely overpriced so be prepared for that and I wouldn't advise anyone to wear any shoes that they really care about! Thousands of drunk people plus dirt are a terrible combination for a fresh pair of shoes. Lastly, you DO NOT have to be in the front to have a good time. I was either on the side or towards the back for most of the performances and it gave me a chance to see the entire stage plus the crowd which was awesome.
My only complaints about Rolling Loud would have to be the restrooms and the Uber/Lyft plan designed by the stadium and local police. Of course I didn't expect for the restrooms to be that of a 5 star resort due to it being an outside music festival but oh my goodness were they disgusting. Getting to the Hard Rock Stadium, where Rolling Loud was held, was super easy but leaving was a disaster! The stadium mandated everyone to use one specific lot to get picked up by Uber and Lyft drivers. But, cell phone coverage was trash due to the amount of people requesting rides in the same vicinity and the local police had major roads blocked making it impossible for concert-goers to find their drivers. I can't even count how many times I got cancelled on by Uber drivers the first night. It was a shit show! But, by the second and third nights, my boyfriend and I became pros on when and where to request an Uber ride.
Day One Favorites:
Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug, Young Dolph and Dreezy.
** J.Cole was the headliner for the first night, but I'm not a fan of him lol so I didn't even stay for that.
Day Two Favorites:
Travis Scott, Migos, Metro Boomin, Meek Mill (despite me not liking one song, he put on a great performance), Fetty Wap, Hoodrich Pablo Juan and of course LIL BABY!!
** Gucci Mane was supposed to perform this day but ended up canceling at the last minute due to being sick. Rolling Loud replaced him with DJ Khaled which was pretty lame lol, but being so close to Lil Baby and him performing my favorite song, Freestyle, made up for the whole day!
Day Three Favorites:
Rick Ross, 21 Savage, Gunna, Skooly, and Moneybagg Yo!
** Note: It was POURING! I mean POURING the last day. It sucked but at that point, we were already invested so we had to just deal. I left after Moneybagg Yo's performance because I felt disgusting and just couldn't do it anymore lol. I even ended up throwing away the Converses that I wore that day!
